Adult Church School Classes

Adult church school classes meet all year, 9:45-10:40 a.m. There are currently 11 options for adult Bible study on Sunday morning.

  • College Age Class - Class meets seasonally. Relevant topics for the college-age young adult.
  • Discovery Class - Room 307 - Class discussion and Bible study. Teacher: Jim McDonnell
  • Friends and Family Class - Room 222 - All are welcome to join this friendly group who share a cup of coffee and lively discussion about the scripture. Teachers: Mark McNeely
  • "ISH" Class - Church Library - A class for singles and couples in their 20s and 30s. Class is using the Lectionary as they study various aspects of the Christian faith. Teachers: Paul Dame, Thomas McMillan
  • Men's Bible Class - meets under Sanctuary - Class sings hymns and provides a community relief fund to help members of the community who are in need. Part of the class time is set aside for fellowship and concerns of church members. The class uses The Present Word curriculum series. Teachers: Ernie Crymes, Smith Kirk, Gene and Cate Vaughan
  • Pastor's Class - Room 301 - This church school class is tuaght by the pastors and is open to all, especially adults who are not currently attending church school. Teachers: Allen Brawley, Dave Rockness
  • Rejoice Class - Room 300 - Using The Present Word curriculum, the class seeks to apply biblical truths to modern issues. Teacher: Joyce Sloop
  • Covenant Bible Class - Room 309 - Class composed of women of all ages; uses The Present Word curriculum. Teachers: Bob Amon, Marilyn Beaver

    College Fellowship

    Regularly throughout the year, we have fellowship gatherings for returning college age young adults.

    Camp Grier

    Employment opportunities available for college-age young adults, including counselors, lifeguards, and support staff at Camp Grier in Old Fort, NC.

    Bible Studies and Small Groups

  • A variety of Bible studies are held on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
  • Short-term studies, generally 5-6 weeks in length, are held periodically throughout the year.
  • The popular "Lent in the Living Room" series is held immediately prior to Easter.
  • Grief Share group meets several times throughout the year.
