New Space for Worship
On October the 28th, it took a little bit longer for the worship team to get warmed up to lead our First Praise service. This had nothing to do with their lack of practice, and everything to do with the fact that the service took place in the future home of First Praise. It was a beautiful October morning, with temperatures hovering around 58 degrees both inside and out. However, the cold air did not stop the Holy Spirit from showing up to warm our hearts. Dave preached a great sermon about prayer from Luke 14 and the worship team, led by Alan, helped us worship unplugged.
Everyone who came was energized about the future use of this exciting space, and are grateful the plans call for heat. What was once a car dealership, is steadily transforming into a central part of the future of our church. Demolition, design and prep work is mostly complete. We are currently in the permitting process and we are expecting reconstruction to start soon. While you may not be able to see all that has taken place to get this far, much has happened and we are well on our way. Please keep the project in your prayers, and continue to ask the Lord to prepare us for the many great things he will do with this new space.
