Visits from the Librarian: Mrs. Crystal, from the Mooresville Public Library, stops by to read us the most amazing books. She selects books that coordinate with our monthly teaching themes.

Music Class: Children enjoy learning seasonal songs together as a preschool and prepare for our performances throughout the year.

Parties: We have several parties in which parents assist in making festive: Farm Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's.

Fire Safety Day: Our local firefighters visit our school and teach our students about fire safety and get a to tour the fire truck. We love our local heroes!

Parent Teacher Conferences: We conduct two parent-teacher conferences each year (October and February). We always look forward to sharing each child's progress!

Farm Day Petting Zoo: Children interact with all the farm animals they learn about at preschool. Children ride ponies, hear the squeal of a pig, and pet all their favorite farm animals.

Thanksgiving Feast: To celebrate Thanksgiving, children gather together dressed as Native Americans and Pilgrims. The children sing songs to for their families and then partake in a feast-style celebration.

Holly Jolly Day: We love to dress up! For this event, children and teachers dress in their most festive and outrageous holiday attire and accessories. We even have a friendly teacher competition to see who is the "jolliest!"

Christmas Program: Our little angels sing Christmas songs to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. Following the performance, the children are visited by Santa and enjoy refreshments of cookies and punch.

Pancakes and PJ Day: Children come to school in their favorite pajamas and have pancakes for snack time! Our teachers love this day, too! Who wouldn't want to learn and teach in their PJ's?

Football Fever Day: To get pumped for the Super Bowl, students come to school in their favorite team jersey, colors or favorite sports team attire.

A Visit from the Dentist: Children learn how to care for their teeth and practice brushing stuffed animals teeth to practiced their dental hygiene skills. Brush, brush, floss!

St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun Hunt: Each year we are on the hunt to spot the tricky leprechaun and find his pot of gold candies he hides each year. Maybe this year will finally catch him!

Egg Hunt: To celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, classes go out and hunt for eggs and treats.

Spring Sing: What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with a spring performance from our students. We also show an End of Year Slideshow featuring the highlights throughout the year.

Letterland Parade: To celebrate our learning of the phonics program, we dress up like our favorite Letterland Character and have a grand parade for families.

Letterland Carnival: Children enjoy carnival-style games manned by our parents and participate in a festive celebration of phonics to round out the school year. It's so much fun to see our parents dressed like Letterland.
