First Presbyterian Preschool was established in the 1960's and has been in continuous operation ever since. Our preschool is recognized today as an essential and integral part of the community's Christian education program. Our goal is for every child to be shown the love of God through our instruction and curriculum. Our Staff
We are proud to offer you an educated, experienced and dedicated staff with over 100 years of combined teaching experience. All classes are staffed and taught by two teachers with a low student-teacher ratio. Each teacher has undergone an extensive criminal background check and drug screening at the time of hire and has annual background checks before the beginning of each school year. All staff members are CPR and First Aid trained and participate in annual continuing education classes and workshops.
Hours of Operation
Our preschool education program is in session Monday-Friday, 8:40 AM-12:00 PM (August-May).
Our Lunch Bunch Program is in session 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Lunch Bunch offers an opportunity for children to extend the school day by an hour and engage in socialization, lunch setting skills, how to open and close packaging and engage in group activities.
Safety & Security
Our preschool is locked during preschool hours and the entrance and surrounding building is camera-monitored. We ask for identification for anyone who comes to pick up your child in your absence. We practice fire, tornado and lockdown drills for an unforeseen event.

We received the 2023 Normy Award for Best Preschool in Mooresville.
