Preschool Events

We enjoy celebrating holidays, your child's birthday and special events throughout the school year.

Preschool Events

Here is a list of some of the events we have throughout our preschool year. All special events are in-house for safety.

Chapel Time: Children experience small group instruction from our pastors to learn about God.

Visits from the Librarian: Mrs. Crystal, from the Mooresville Public Library, stops by to read us the most amazing books. She selects books that coordinate with our monthly teaching themes.

Music Class: Children enjoy learning seasonal songs together as a preschool and prepare for our performances throughout the year.

Parties: We have several parties in which parents assist in making festive: Fall Fun, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter.

Fire Safety Day: Our local firefighters visit our school and teach our students about fire safety and get to tour the fire truck. We love our local heroes!

Parent Teacher Conferences: We conduct a parent-teacher conference each year. We always look forward to sharing each child's progress!

Thanksgiving Feast: The children sing a few Thanksgiving songs to their families and then partake in a feast-style celebration.

Holly Jolly Day: We love to dress up! For this event, children and teachers dress in their most festive and outrageous holiday attire and accessories.

Christmas Program: Our little angels sing Christmas songs to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. Following the performance, the children and families will enjoy refreshments of cookies and punch.

Pancakes and PJ Day: Children come to school in their favorite pajamas and have pancakes for snack time! Our teachers love this day, too! Who wouldn't want to learn and teach in their PJ's?

Football Fever Day: To get pumped for the Super Bowl, students come to school in their favorite team jersey, colors or favorite sports team attire.

A Visit from the Dentist: Children learn how to care for their teeth and practice brushing stuffed animals teeth to practiced their dental hygiene skills. Brush, brush, floss!

Dr. Seuss Week: To celebrate Read Across America week, we wear our silly socks and dress like our favorite Seuss character.

St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun Hunt: Each year we are on the hunt to spot the tricky leprechaun and find his pot of gold candies he hides each year. Maybe this year will finally catch him!

Egg Hunt: To celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, classes go out and hunt for eggs and treats.

Spring Sing: What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with a spring performance from our students.

Letterland Parade: To celebrate our learning of the phonics program, we dress up like our favorite Letterland Character and have a grand parade for families.

Graduation Ceremony: At the end of the school year we honor our graduates moving onto kindergarten in a full cap and gown ceremony featuring patriotic songs and personal achievements.
