Wednesday Nights Together (WNT)

Our Vision

As we begin a new season of Wednesday Nights Together (WNT), it’s good to pause and remember what this ministry is all about. At First Presbyterian Church, WNT is more than a program — it’s a rhythm of life together. Each Wednesday, we gather as one body to share a meal, worship, and dive into God’s Word in community.

WNT fulfills our church’s mission through dynamic worship experiences, dinner together, and a discipleship path for spiritual growth.

Our heart for WNT is threefold:

  • Fellowship – sharing life together over a meal and in relationships that build up the body of Christ.
  • Worship – centering our hearts and voices on the Lord who calls us into His presence.
  • Discipleship – offering classes, Bible studies, and groups that equip every generation to grow in faith and live out the gospel.

When we as a staff asked, “Why WNT?,” we realized it reflects the very values of FPC Mooresville:

  • Intergenerational Fellowship – church family togetherness across all ages and stages.
  • Intentional Community – embracing diversity, breaking bread, and worshiping to glorify God.
  • Livable Bible Learning – upholding God’s Word and applying it in daily life.
  • Christ-Centered Growth – deepening our relationship with God so He can shape us into a gracious, generous, mission-oriented community.

By gathering midweek, we renew our strength in Christ, encourage one another, and walk the path of discipleship side by side. Whether you are new or have been here for years, WNT is an open door to connect, grow, and belong.

Livable Theology: Understanding Our Beliefs and Why it Matters – Rev. Moses Camacho-Greer (this class will begin February 25, 2026)

What do we believe—and why does it matter for everyday life? This class will explore the foundations of Christian and Reformed theology in a practical, accessible way. Together we’ll ask the questions: what is theology? Who is God? What is my Bible? What is salvation, or what are we saved from and what are we saved to? And much more, all for the mission of connecting doctrine to discipleship, belief to practice, and faith to daily living.

Bethel Bible Series (New Testament) – Rev. Fred Coates

Fred will continue leading participants through the Bethel Bible Series, working through the New Testament. This class will offer tools to understand Scripture more deeply, connect Old and New Testament themes, and strengthen your ability to interpret God’s Word faithfully.

Discipleship Essentials – Rev. Dave Rockness

This final installment of Discipleship Essentials (by Greg Ogden) focuses on living out an intentional, Christ-centered life. Through Scripture, accountability, and shared spiritual practices, participants will grow as disciples and be equipped to invest in others.

Lost & Found Women’s Bible Study – Jodi Rockness

This spring, Lost & Found will study 1, 2, and 3 John using Abide by Jen Wilkin, exploring what it means to abide in Christ, walk in love, and live with assurance as God’s children.

Please note: Participants are asked to purchase the study guide Abide by Jen Wilkin prior to the start of the class. The book is available through a variety of retailers, including Lifeway and Amazon.

Young Families Bible Study – Amy Petrenko

A welcoming, discussion-based group for young parents focused on Scripture, parenting, and building community. Together we’ll explore God’s Word, share questions and experiences, and grow as families rooted in Christ and connected to one another.
